Mudspiel update ... unfortunately neither Team Bar Mudspiel update ... unfortunately neither Team Barnes or Chapman made it to Sunday, but both teams had a great time this weekend. Thank you to everyone who joined us for one of our Thank you to everyone who joined us for one of our six Learn to Curl sessions this year—four full sessions and two minis (with a boost of interest from the Olympics!). We always enjoy sharing the sport we love and introducing it to new curlers.
The South Shore Curling Club’s 2026 Rookies of the The South Shore Curling Club’s 2026 Rookies of the Year are Emily Groszewski and Ken Stepler — congrats to a couple of great new curlers! A good start to their curling careers, both also played on winning teams in this season’s finals: Emily for the Broom & Button Cup and Ken for the Lemcke Bowl 🥌 #southshorecurling #southshorecurlingclub #curling #rookies #roy
Our winter season wrapped up with the 2026 Lemcke Our winter season wrapped up with the 2026 Lemcke Bowl, with the finalists being Tyler Reidy, Emily Groszewski, Kevin Kusina, and Robby Friedlander vs. Kendall Walker, Heather McIvor, Sean MacGregor and Ken Stepler. Saturday SSCC got together to watch GB play Canada Saturday SSCC got together to watch GB play Canada in the Men’s Gold Medal 🏅🥌 match. We found our league cup was put to functional reuse 🌱🪴 Big thanks to Emily and Nick for the best curling party we’ve ever seen!

Congrats to South Shore teams making it to the Cap Congrats to South Shore teams making it to the Cape Cod Open Doubles finals: James and Caitlin played in the B finals with more than one game saving shot made by both of them. Tom and Heather played in the F final that came down to the last end, last rock where Tom threw a great angle raise takeout for the win.
